Letters of reference

Real words from the veterans, families, and local leaders who've seen this program in action.

Dear Mr. Larry Sharp,

I would like to extend my appreciation for your help in obtaining the hospital bed for my disabled veteran husband. Without your help I don't know how I would have gotten this done. It has helped me tremendously as I am unable to lift my husband and he is at a great risk for falls. The bed has rails to prevent this, unlike his regular bed. It also helps him to sit in different positions and remain comfortable without my lifting him. Your endeavor to assist veterans is highly commendable. I am very grateful for your willingness to assist me in such a special way and it is very much appreciated.

Community voices

You would think that every business would step up and offer a discount to Veterans. Sometimes the public forgets about us after we get home.

We don't do enough for Veterans. We forget if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have a business or freedoms, period! I am glad to be a part of this and offer a discount to Veterans. It's long overdue.

We Veterans don't want or need a lot. However this is a fine idea here and it does make us feel appreciated.

AlanVietnam Veteran

We will always support our Veterans and glad to do so! The Veterans Appreciation Program helps us get the word out.

Nancy WilsonOwner, Karen's Carpets

This is a good idea and long overdue. Anytime we can find a way to help a Veteran we should do so, and I do believe it has helped to increase my business.

JoeOwner, Powell Service Center

We owe all Veterans a big debt of gratitude... and more.
